چکیده

Skin resident memory T cells (TRM) are a subset of which reside in skin for long term. They require exogenous free fatty acid their survival, and fatty-acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) 5 (FABP5) considered to take part lipid uptake. However, the detailed relation FABP4 with TRM function is still unknown. Here, we analyzed role development functional activities murine contact hypersensitivity model. Wild type (WT), knockout (FABP4KO), FABP5 (FABP5KO) mice were sensitized on abdomen 0.5% DNFB at day -7 challenged right ear 0.15% 0. By 28, CD69+CD103+CD8 develop ear. When both ears re-challenged swelling 29 compared left was weakest FABP5KO, followed by FABP4KO WT (0.146 ± 0.007 mm WT, 0.094 0.009 FABP4KO, 0.052 vs FABP4KO: p < 0.001, FABP5KO: 0.05). The number 28 tended be lower FABP5KO than however, difference did not reach significance (484 65 cells/ear 364 41 340 52 = 0.3304, 0.1240, 0.9980). IFNγ production from this fraction comparable while that decreased (104 18 147 19 58 11 =0.2107, 0.2067, Our results imply FABP5, rather FABP4, contributes TRM.

The skinny on fatty acid-binding protein.

iomarkers have come to play an increasingly important ole in the evaluation and management of patients with uspected acute coronary syndromes (ACS). To date, cariac troponins T and I remain the best established biomarers in ACS for both diagnosis and risk assessment. In ddition to providing high sensitivity and specificity for etecting myocardial necrosis, troponins provide assessment f the ris...

Enterocyte fatty acid uptake and intestinal fatty acid-binding protein.

This article reviews our current understanding of the uptake of fatty acids by the enterocytes of the intestine. The micellar solubilization of fatty acids by bile salts and the factors regulating that process are discussed. The mechanism of how micellar solubilization of fatty acids promotes the uptake of fatty acids by enterocytes and their relative importance is reviewed. Additionally, discu...

Effects of intestinal fatty acid-binding protein overexpression on fatty acid metabolism in Caco-2 cells.

Intestinal fatty acid-binding protein (I-FABP) is a cytosolic protein expressed at high levels (up to 2% of cytosolic proteins) in the small intestine epithelium. Despite cell transfection studies, its function is still unclear. Indeed, different effects on fatty acid metabolism depending on the cell type and the amount of I-FABP expressed have been reported. Furthermore, a decrease in fatty ac...

Fatty acid-binding protein from embryonic chick retina resembles mammalian heart fatty acid-binding protein.

PURPOSE Fatty acid-binding proteins (FABP) make up a family of cytosolic proteins of unknown function found in many tissues, including the embryonic chick retina. To further understand its function in the developing retina, the protein from embryonic chicks was purified and characterized. The tissue distribution of this protein in embryonic and hatched chicks was determined using polyclonal ant...

Studies on fatty-acid-binding proteins. The purification of rat liver fatty-acid-binding protein and the role of cysteine-69 in fatty acid binding.

1. A new, simple and high-yield procedure is described for the purification of hepatic fatty-acid-binding protein from rat liver using naphthylaminodecyl-agarose as an affinity column. 2. Cysteine-69 is shown to react slowly, but quantitatively, with 5,5'-dithiobis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB), indicating that the thiol group is free, but may be buried within the protein. 3. Fatty acids do not ...
